My Teachers' Training Workshop

I attended the AAHCC workshop in Cincinnati, Ohio,
in June of 1995. There were 19 other trainees
in attendance. It was a four day intensive workshop,
and although my husband couldn't attend, I was
very glad
to have our daughter Celeste with us! My
sister-in-law came
along to help watch her.

Student Teaching

I began my provisional phase at the beginning of 1996. I started with two students, and had the unique opportunity of being pregnant with my 2nd baby at the same time as them! After that series, I completed my final exam and received full affiliation in June of 1996.

The Written Work

There are several written assignments that are part of the training, and I had the majority of them completed by the time I attended. The main one I had left was to attend a full series of classes taught by an affiliated Bradley® instructor. I drove 3 hours one way to attend my sister's classes, and it was well worth it. Bradley® teachers are required to complete extensive work to become affiliated, and again each year to re-affiliate.

Where I Have Taught

I taught in Lynchburg, Virginia, from 1996 until about half way through 1998. I moved to Alaska in July of 1998, and have been teaching in Anchorage ever since.
